Get ready for a cinematic adventure.
We will leave from the Taormina area and head, passing through Sant'Alessio, to the symbolic locations both chosen by Francis Ford Coppola for the scenes of ‘The Godfather’: Savoca and Forza D'Agrò .
Your journey through these beautiful landscapes is not only film history, but also a pleasant stroll through the truest Sicily, with its narrow alleys, squares and historic churches .
You will feel like a real character from The Godfather as you explore the fascinating catacombs of Savoca at the Convento dei Cappuccini and admire the beauty of the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli, the site of the iconic wedding between Apollonia and Michele Corleone.
You will have time to visit and perhaps have a drink at the legendary ‘Bar Vitelli’, where several scenes of the film were shot and you will also admire many photographs of the time and the filming, exhibited inside
The next stop will be Forza d'Agrò. This small medieval jewel overlooks the breathtaking coast of Messina and the Strait. Here you will have the chance to admire and get to know other places where the film was shot, but also to relax before returning.
Expected return late afternoon.
We recommend that you bring suitable shoes and clothing with you
